Blue Vision

The U.K.F.M  have a series of grades for girls and boys to work there way through. Each grade has about 20 moves and you have to score over a certain mark to pass. The only one that isn't like this is Supreme 5, which is taken in 5 different parts, finger twirls, rolls, aerials, wraps and tricks and you have to think of 100 moves for each section.

We have baton grades, that go from Bronze, Silver, Gold, Supreme 1, Supreme 2, Supreme 3, Supreme 4 and up to Supreme 5.

Then we have equipment grades which are, Flag, Wheel, Ribbon, Pom Pom, Mace 1, Mace 2 and Mace Major.

We get given Badges to sew onto our troupe jackets for baton and mace grades and we get awarded certificates for the other equipment grades that we pass.

Sometimes you need to hold a certain grade to be able to enter certain competitions, for example you have to hold a mace grade to enter a premier mace competition however this doesn't apply for any of the other eqiupment. Also it depends on which grade you hold to which level you compete at in twirl solos, this gives everyone a fair chance so that the bronze grade level aren't competing against the advanced!!
