Blue Vision

Twirling Team

Troupe Leader - Jo Bathurst

Hi my names Jo and i'm Blue Vision Twirling Team's Troupe Leader.  My first experience of Baton Twirling was when i was 7 years old, I use to be a member of Harlow Majorettes and my claim to fame was twirling with Karen Trigg (Scott)!! Vice President of UKFM.  I became involved more recently since both my daughters started twirling,  I finally became a Troupe Leader in 2003.  I have just recently started to take my grades so that I can help out with training any new members that we may take on.  I have also just passed my Judges course and judge at UKFM competitions when i'm able to get there due to my work committments!!  I am very proud of ALL our members, their hard work, dedication and committment has started to pay off with the results that we are gaining, although there's always room for improvement!!!!. (well may be a little)!!

If you are interested in becoming a member of BLUE VISION or would like to hire us for any display's then please contact me: 01480 436516

Assistant Troupe Leader - June Housego

My name is June and I am Blue Vision's Asst Troupe Leader/Treasurer, I work a longside Jo in the day to day running of the Troupe.  I also take care of ALL the Uniform (that includes all the washing)!!  I take great pride in of seeing everyone so well turned out, at competitons and display's.  My partner Gary moans when I have all the leotards and socks drying all over the house and thought I was going mad when I started to hang washed Pom Poms on the washing line, but he knows what enjoyment I get from Majorettes (and Yes the occasional headache)!!  I have been involved in majorettes for about 7 years my daughter was originally with the Troupe but left last year.  My Son is still an active member and the only boy we  currently have.

Seniors

 Sarah Webb BVT1 - Senior/Junior Trainer

Hi everyone, im Sarah!!  I have been doing majorettes since I was 8 years old, which means I have been a majorette for a whopping 16 years!!!!  and I am still on Supreme 3!!  Trying very hard to get my Supreme 4 but I get too dizzy (too many turns!!).  My best achievement so far is winning MISS UKFM (2004/2005) and then winning Colour Guard (2005/2006).  I enjoy training the girls and boy (along with the much needed help of my other trainers!!) and watching them grow in our little majorette world!!  We have a fantastic troupe, everyone gets on really well and they all work really hard (most of the time!!).  As a troupe we have won Best Military Troupe of the UKFM for the past 2 years and best troupe of the region 2 years ago!!  I am so proud of our troupe, we all work together to win these type of trophies!!!!  I think we all enjoy novelty groups the best, they are soooooooooooooooo funny!!!  On the day of the competition we don't care how silly we look, we just go out to have fun!!  We are yet to beat the parents who got 1st place with their novelty!!  I love our uniforms and leotards (especially my maternity uniform/leotard) we always look so smart!!!  I have a 10 month old little girl, Mia, who will be joining the troupe when she is old enough (good luck Louise and Sam!!), she already has a troupe tracksuit, we just need a loetard for her now (Jo, im fluttering my eyelids and smiling lots!!!!)  Really looking forward to Camber this year, hoping this will be our best year yet!!!  We love the UKFM, we have made so many friends within other troupes (Kelly, Karen, Ashley, Megan, Charlene, Leanne plus many others!!  We are glad to be part of the Cambridgeshire area,  all the troupes in our area are really friendly and we all get along well.  I would also like to mention that I am truly the best in our area for lead girl!!!  Leaping around the arena like a fairy elephant and making a complete fool of myself, lol!!!  Well done to all the A+ girls at the Peterborough comp, our end poses were the best!!  Oh my gosh I have rambled on for ages.  Think I sould go now before I get called Louise, lol!!  byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Sarah xxx.   Jo and June your the best!!  WHERE'S MY BUS??

Kim Jones BVT2 - Junior Trainer

Hi i'm Kim (A.K.A Cindy lol!!) i'm 22 and i've been twirling for 13 years. I train the juniors with Sarah which i really enjoy as i like seeing the end results when they go out and perform a really good routine after they've worked really hard (that's after all the tears and tantrums by the way!) I also compete in solos duos and in groups. I've been duoing with sam for 3 years now and work really well together as we both like to show off lol!! and we seem to get better each year!! I love competing especially when i work really hard and win lots of trophies!! My favourite pieces of equipment are 1&2 baton, and i like pom pom because it's really fun as you don't have to be to technical! My favourite competitions are lead girl because you can do pretty much anything you want as long as your smiling!!! I also enjoy Eileens challenge as you never know what your going to have to do and it's so much fun! I always get a real buzz out of performing our outdoor groups at nationals 2! I can't really say that there's anything that i don't enjoy competing in, oh except 2 flag because i'm not very good at it!!! My  biggest achievements are winning Eileens challenge and becoming U.K.F.M Colour Guard at Nationals in 2005!!  winning my advanced solo at nationals 2008, which means i am now championship!! And coming 3rd in Supreme Duo with the best duo partner ever, sam!! Love Kim xx

 Louise Gray BVT3- Juvenile/Pee-Wee Trainer

Hi i'm Louise and i've been twirling for 8 years. I'm the one in the troupe that never stops talking, comes up with mad ideas and drives everyone crazy with all the info and routines i can remember!! When Blue Vision started i took up the role of Juvenile/Pee Wee trainer which was brilliant as i wanted a new challenge as i had lost all my passion to twirl. Then it hit me just before our first practice 'I'M A TRAINER' i have to make up routines and teach them 'WHAT HAVE I DONE' Luckily everyone was amazing & so supportive and was ready for a change. From that night i never looked back (Dyed my hair a few times) but never looked back!! Along the way i have had 2 co-trainers Nicola and Sam who are both amazing and supported my mad ideas! Blue Vision has changed my life and given me the most amazing experiences, like Sarah winning Miss UKFM 04/05 and the great year that followed. The feeling you get when you see a member of the troupe achieve a goal, from leg rolls to a 1st place, Having the chance to go and twirl in America!, me practising for Supreme 4!! Our first competition, making friends with other troupes and me sitting here now writing this for our very own website!! I'd just like to say thank-you so much to everyone who has been involved in Blue Vision as none of what we have achieved would have been possible without you!!! xx

Sam Bathurst BVT6- Juvenile/Pee-Wee Trainer

Heya im Sam(A.K.A Baffi) I am 16 years old and I have been twirling for 10 years now which means I was only 6 when I started majorettes. I train the Juveniles with Louise, which is quite hard work somtimes for both of us but it is worth the stress once we have competed and come away with great results. Other than training the little ones. I also do solos, duos and groups. I duo with Kim which is fab as we are both of the sorta same standard but she has one more grade than me but other than that we have the same style and ideas. This year both me and kim have entered into every single thing we can compete in which is obviously hard for both of us as we have had 26 solos/ duos to make up this year. Since being with Blue Vision I have achieved SO MUCH MORE!!!!...I have won quite alot of trophies (over 50) one of which I was awarded in America for the most spirited candidate. I now hold the grade supreme 3 and I am waiting to take my supreme 4 in December 06. My goal this year is to become a championship twirler which means I have to come 1st in my advance solo, I would also love to win a sash at the national championships, once I have won that I will be really happy. This means that I have to come 1st in all my solos, which will be a big challenge but im willing to give it ago and put my all into it. My biggest achievement, which i am very proud of is being the first ever girl to win the Sally Scott Trophy at this years nationals!!! Keep up the hard work juveniles (Keep Smiling). Love Sam x

 Kerri Abrahams BVT9

Heya I’m Kerri I’m 16 years old and I have been twirling for 6 years now and I love it!! I love competing against other girls especially in military march as I always get something for it!! My worst solo ever is lead girl as I don’t really like showing off because I’m not very good at that like Kim and Sam!! All the girls in Blue Vision are great and we all have a laugh together! June and Jo are great troupe and assistant troupe leaders (Even though you nag us about money lol!!) But you do a great job running the troupe. I just want to say good luck to everyone for any competitions that we have at nationals and regionals!! Love you all

Kerri xxx

Kimberley Willoughby BVT11

Hi my name’s Kimberly and I love twirling!! I’ve been a majorette for 5 years now! To be honest I prefer training others and making up random solo’s and routines than actually competing but I still enjoy the thrill of going out there and showing everyone my best! And even though not everything goes to plan it’s still tonnes of fun!! For as long as I can remember I have always done my duos with Kerri (and trios with Kerri and Abby) however this year we have been split up as during the time we take to make them up one of us ends up crying!! But don’t get me wrong Kez is a complete and utter ledge, no matter how annoying lol!!! All the girls in our troupe are absolutely amazing and lots of ‘laffs’ to be around!! As Kerrin, Amber and Kerri will probably remember “she won’t last one minute” Even though we have our tantrums at each other and end up in tears we only seem to be going from strength to strength. I doubt that it would’ve been possible without the help of our fantastic Troupe Leader Jo, Assistant Troupe Leader June, and our 4 brill trainers, Kim, Sam, Louise and Sarah!! Bye Bye!! Xxxxx

 Abby Abraham BVT13

Hey, my name is Abby, i'm 17 years old and i've been doing majorettes for about 6 years now and i love it!! Steph Walker BVT5

Hi I’m Steph, I’m 15 and I’ve been twirling for nearly 2 years with Blue Vision now and I love it! I’m on Supreme one and I’m hoping to get on to my supreme two, soon-ish!! I love doing duo’s with my duo partner Rhiannon and I’m also starting to like solo’s more! I’ve been to Rye twice now and have won 3 trophies :D. My biggest achievement was winning Personality of the Year at our troupe presentation evening, And also getting Justine’s Award for Achievement!  07/08. I’m really glad I joined Blue Vision as I’ve made so many new friends and everyone is lovely :) Love Steph x

 Kerrin Gilbody BVT21

Heya I’m Kerrin and I’m 15 years old. I’ve been doing majorettes for just over 4 years now and I love it!! I joined the troupe after they did a display at a fete I was at and I couldn’t take my eyes off of them!! My favourite piece of equipment is the baton as you can do a variety of moves and you practically do anything you want with it!! My least favourite is lead girl because you have to show off and prance like a fairy (as Kim says lol!!) Our troupe is fab as everyone helps each other out and we always do our best and have a great laugh together! My aim is to become a trainer as I love to help people out and love to see big smiles when they achieve something!! Bye for now!
